About the Role
We're looking for an exceptional Senior Technical Recruiter to focus exclusively on recruiting top-tier talent in Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning, and Applied AI. This is a critical strategic role. You won't just fill requisitions; you'll be a talent strategist responsible for identifying, engaging, and assessing candidates who possess the deep technical expertise, first-principles thinking, and precision required to build and deploy novel AI solutions at scale.
Success in this role demands deep business and technical acumen. You must speak fluently about model architecture, research directions, and deployment challenges to earn credibility with both candidates and technical leadership.
What You'll Do
Act as Strategic Partner: Serve as a trusted, knowledgeable advisor to VPs of Engineering, ML Directors, and Research Leads, providing data-backed insights on market compensation, research trends, and hiring feasibility.
Operate on First Principles: Define roles based on first principles, including understanding the fundamental technical challenges the team needs to solve, rather than just filling a set of skills.
Communication: Maintain extremely high precision in communicating role requirements, team context, and candidate feedback, ensuring perfect alignment between technical leadership and the talent pipeline.
Technical Credibility: Utilize your deep technical acumen to craft personalized outreach and conduct initial technical screens that evaluate a candidate's research quality, contribution to papers (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML), and understanding of core ML concepts.
Ecosystem Mapping: Strategically map the talent landscape across top-tier academic institutions, research labs, and pioneering AI companies globally, building a long-term talent pipeline.
Quality & Bar-Raising: Champion a relentless focus on quality, ensuring every candidate presented raises the bar for technical excellence, rigor, and impact.
Interview Process Design: Partner with hiring managers to design and continuously refine a structured, predictive assessment process that accurately measures deep expertise in ML/AI.
Process Ownership: Own the full-cycle recruiting process for complex ML/AI roles, from initial contact to negotiation and closing.
Offer Negotiation: Lead sophisticated offer negotiations, requiring a nuanced understanding of market rates for highly specialized ML roles.
What You'll Bring
5+ years of progressive experience in technical recruiting, with a minimum of 3 years dedicated to recruiting Machine Learning, AI, or Deep Learning research or software engineering talent in highly nuanced environments.
Technical acumen and an intellectual curiosity to credibly engage with senior ML professionals and understand the differences between various ML concepts.
Proven ability to assess talent based on the quality of their first-principles thinking and research contributions, not just years of experience.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a track record of influencing senior technical leadership in a high-growth, high-bar environment.
A meticulous approach to work, emphasizing precision, rigor, and operational excellence in a complex hiring landscape.
