About Disco
Disco powers a next-generation commerce media network that connects over 1,000 eCommerce advertisers to consumers on some of the world's most recognizable retail platforms, including Mindbody, Gopuff, Fabletics, and Knitwell Group (Chico's, Talbots, Lane Bryant). When a consumer books a yoga class or buys a new pair of jeans, Disco's recommendation engine surfaces relevant, brand-safe offers from other consumer brands — turning everyday transactions into meaningful moments of discovery.
Since launching in 2021, we've raised $26M from leading investors including Felicis Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, Shopify, Sugar Capital, RiverPark Ventures, and Indicator Ventures. Today, Disco's network spans 1,000+ advertisers and publishers, driving over $1B in GMV across 150M+ permissioned U.S. shopper profiles.
About the role
Disco is seeking a technically fluent, commercially sharp Technical Account Manager to join our growing Publisher team. This is a dual-mandate role: you'll partner with Sales during the pre-sales cycle to evaluate technical fit, scope integrations, and win enterprise deals — then own the post-sale relationship to ensure those publishers launch successfully and scale their ad revenue yield over time.
You'll be the technical authority in the room with prospects and the strategic operator who keeps accounts healthy and growing post-launch. That means everything from setting up initial integrations and walking through API documentation, to running QBRs, identifying upsell opportunities, and navigating commercial renewals. The ideal candidate is as comfortable reading API documentation as they are presenting to a VP of Product or a Chief Revenue Officer.
What you'll do
Pre-Sales Technical Consulting
- Partner with Account Executives as the technical voice in enterprise sales cycles — evaluating publisher environments, scoping integration requirements, and building confidence in Disco's technical capabilities.
- Lead solution design conversations, mapping publisher data infrastructure (first-party data signals, transaction events, identity attributes) to Disco's recommendation and bidding architecture.
- Build and deliver compelling technical demos, proof-of-concept environments, and integration documentation tailored to each prospect's stack.
- Create repeatable pre-sales assets including technical FAQs, integration playbooks, and RFP response templates that help the team scale.
- Own the technical portions of RFPs, security questionnaires, and data due diligence reviews.
Technical Onboarding & Integration
- Lead seamless end-to-end onboarding for new publisher integrations — including integration and implementation guidance, QA validation, and go-live sign-off.
- Work hands-on across Disco's integration modalities: Web SDK, APIs, server-side event feeds, and Shopify app configurations.
- Define and audit data quality requirements: ensure publisher event schemas, identity resolution, and attribution signals meet Disco's standards before and after launch.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Engineering to resolve issues, improve onboarding, and drive customer success.
Strategic Account Management
- Own a book of enterprise publisher accounts post-launch — driving net revenue growth, format adoption, and long-term retention.
- Build and execute quarterly account plans with a clear optimization roadmap, shared proactively with client stakeholders and internal leadership.
- Deliver high-quality executive business reviews (QBRs) and monthly cadence calls that translate performance data into a clear narrative of value and forward strategy.
- Own the renewal process for your accounts — leading commercial conversations and partnering with Sales on contract strategy.
- Champion client priorities internally, aligning Product, Data, and Engineering around your publishers' most important needs.
AI-Powered Workflows
- Actively leverage AI tools (i.e. Claude) to accelerate your work — from generating integration documentation and debugging data issues to building client-facing analysis and reporting.
- Help Disco develop scalable AI-augmented SC practices as an early advocate on the team.
Who You Are
- 3–5+ years of experience in a Technical Account Management, Solutions Consulting, or Solutions Engineering role — ideally in AdTech, Commerce Media, or a related SaaS/data platform context.
- APIs & Integrations: Hands-on technical ability.
- Data & Analytics: Fluent in data.
- You understand attribution models, bid mechanics, and how publisher data quality directly impacts demand-side outcomes.
- A polished communicator. You translate technical complexity into clear business narratives — equally credible in a developer standup and a C-suite QBR.
- Commercially minded. You think about your accounts like a business owner: you know your numbers, understand contract levers, and are motivated by measurable outcomes.
- AI-forward. You already use AI tools in your workflow or are aggressively learning. We want someone who treats AI as a multiplier — in technical problem-solving, client communications, and internal documentation.
- Proactive and autonomous. You don't wait to be handed a playbook — you build one.
