As Account Manager, you will play a critical role on the Publisher Development team at OpenX and report directly to the Director of Account Management, APAC.
Our team operates in a fast-paced environment and rapidly changing industry landscape that will call for creativity and thought leadership.
AMs will partner directly with the Business Development team to own a book of publisher accounts and will be responsible for owning revenue targets and building strong relationships with key contacts at the publisher.
You will leverage deep knowledge of our technology and broader programmatic advertising trends to influence revenue across all integration types including: header bidding, oRTB, server to server, and all formats including: display, video, app, and CTV. Account Managers will also be responsible for identifying upsell opportunities to grow revenue across direct integrations and the OpenX PMP product suite.
Role is located in Japan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with BD Sales lead to own a book of publishers and be responsible for overall performance and revenue forecast
  • Drive publisher revenue growth through new direct supply integrations, yield optimization, and upsell strategic products including pub sourced PMPs
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and solve performance anomalies with the Support and Solution Architect team
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with both day to day contacts and senior level execs at publishers
  • Maintain a deep understanding of assigned publisher’s strategy, goals, and OpenX’s stack ranking
  • Own QBRs, strategy meetings, and quarterly client entertainment
  • Be an expert in OpenX publisher platform, analytics and reporting tools, and overall product suite
  • Partner with Buyer Development team to support them in PMP proposals and inventory packaging opportunities
  • Identify market and product opportunities and provide a constant stream of feedback to management and product teams

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of Account Management, Customer Success, or analytical work experience with programmatic publisher, yield optimization, or programmatic ad tech
  • Bilingual in English and Japanese
  • Natural curiosity and strong understanding of the ad tech and programmatic industry
  • Skilled communicator with a history of building relationships with clients
  • Strong problem solving and analytical mindset to diagnose issues and make informed recommendations for improvement
  • Solid project management skills – organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask, and drive cross-functional stakeholders to achieve a common goal
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel; high proficiency in Powerpoint
  • Strong relationship management skills with experience in working with multiple cross-functional teams located across various offices and time zones
  • Experience with tech platforms such as ad servers, SSPs, DSPs, CRMs will be highly regarded
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed
